https://lemelson.mit.edu/2023-
The OE team is :
Aarin Bothra, Jensen Coonradt, Ahmed Faisal, Denise Gutierrez, Anshul Puri, Olivia Schwab , Marc Townsend
Jensen Coonradt is the team leader. Jensen came up with the initial concept . With the mentorship of Scott Johnson, she then created the concept and recruited an amazing, creative group of students. They won $7,500 dollars after submitting their 14 page proposal to create an innovation to help clean classroom air of pollution. In February, 2 professors from MIT will come to Oswego East to meet with the team and see progress and discuss getting patent. Then in June the team is invited to MIT ( Massachusetts institute of Technology) to showcase their innovation at the prestigious 2023 Eureka Fest!
This is so exciting to realize that Oswego East is the first team in Illinois to win this !
