Want a break in your day to enjoy some music? The OEHS Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble are performing at the Illinois Music Educators Conference next Friday 1/28 and Saturday 1/29 down in Peoria.
In an effort to give the students as many performance experiences leading up to that day, we are opening up two rehearsals next week for anyone to attend!
Jazz Ensemble Rehearsal - Monday, January 24th after school 3pm-3:30pm.
Wind Symphony Rehearsal - Tuesday, January 25th during 6th Period.
Both of these will be held in the band room, B141. The students and I would love to see you there!

Adulting, anyone? This is a great book to help encourage students to do adulting things! Being an adult, it turns out, is not about any particular checklist; it is, instead, a process, one you can get progressively better at over time―becoming more comfortable with uncertainty and gaining the know how to keep going. Once you begin to practice it, being an adult becomes the most complicated yet also the most abundantly rewarding and natural thing. And Julie Lythcott-Haims is here to help readers take their turn.
