Welcome to the Mindset Moment, a place for strategies to help develop a growth mindset within our students. Each week there will be a new strategy highlighted. Let's begin with a Morning Check in!
The Morning Check in:
Have students rate how their day is going so far(5 is great, 4 is good, 3 is fine, 2 is not so well, 1 terrible). Pay attention to those students that give a low rating to the start of their day. Provide journeling time, drawing time, or one-on-one conferencing time will be helpful in moving them beyond any negative feelings they begin the day with.
