Dear Teachers,
The first week of October is by public law 100-104 dedicated to German-American Heritage. The Month of October is dedicated to the culture and languages of German speaking countries. We have many things planned for this week and the whole month. We need help with some of this week's German activities.

From John Miller:
I have attached a link for my daughter's show choir fundraiser. She is part of the show choir at Waubonsie Valley and they are raising money for their trip to a competition in Minneapolis. The most popular item is the Entertainment Mobile Coupon Membership. Just search for that and it's good all across the country. It's a mobile app. There are also graphics on the site that you can use.
East Theatre is proud to announce that Luke Ahlquist has been selected for this year’s Illinois Theatre Festival All State cast. Luke had to audition along with students from all over the state. He was selected to play the Pied Piper in this year’s All State production of Shrek! The Musical. East Theatre Thespians will make their way down to U of I to cheer Luke on in January.
East Theatre is currently in rehearsal for the fall show The Twelve Huntsmen. Briandaniel Oglesby’s play tells the story of the Brothers Grimm tromp through the forest in search of fairy tales and stumble into a story of their own after being captured by The Twelve Huntsmen. Will Cesario and the band of Huntsmen let the Brothers Grimm live? Will the Huntsmen share their stories? And which stories will be told each night? The Twelve Huntsmen feature stories that are dark, comedic, strange, old and new; each Huntsmen has a story, but not all are told every night!
Tickets go on sale October 11th. Staff will receive one complimentary ticket. Online orders only.
Support and help advertise East Theatre's fall production of The Twelve Huntsmen by purchasing a show shirt! Orders need to be placed by Sunday, October 2 and will be delivered by October 17. We'd greatly appreciate your support!

Looking for a way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month? Try Dance Party Friday! Diana Palumbo tries to teach or learn a dance based upon the Heritage/History Month designated each month. Her students love it or learn to love it; her favorite part is that it doesn't take up too much time.
