April is Poetry Month

April is Poetry Month, and NEHS is working on some ideas for promoting poetry across the curriculum.  NEHS members are interested in which of the adults in the building (especially those outside of the English department) like poetry!  If you have a favorite poem or poet, use poetry as a form of self care, or just like it for whatever reason, we want to hear from you! Broadcast Club

Weekly Announcements are here! Broadcasting Club wants to help you get the word out about your important news, events, triumphs, or updates you'd like to share with the school! MOSAIC is selling their exclusive designs! We have short and long-sleeved shirts. If anyone would like to make a purchase at school, come to my classroom, F231-I take virtual and card payments. Otherwise, scan the QR. Delivery is super fast:

  2. You may pick up in store in Plano
  3. You may pay a little extra and have it shipped to your house

Business Professionals of America

 

 

We are beyond proud of all our Business Professionals of America students who came to the state leadership conference to compete. These students' dedication to Business Professionals of America has set them up for success. With over 85 students qualifying for the state competition, we couldn’t be more proud of how these students did. 

We have 31 students who qualified for the national conference and 36 students who medaled. Our first-place event winners are Ava Karg, Andrew Medrano, Krisha Majmundar, Anushka Wanjara, Shreeya Mani, Abigail Hintz, Hammeedah Bello, Minha Fatima, Lauren Fox, Aarin Bothra, and Krecel Bautista. Our second-place students are Joey Bocik, Nolan Augustine, Andrew Medrano, Hammeedah Bello, Emma Ku, Aarin Bothra, Linda Rahali, Zakaria Rahali, Sheza Khan, Delia Akyea, Iiza Qureshi, Keerthana Chitrarasu, and Syeda Farwa Zaidi. Our third-place students are Krishiv Majmundar, Sanand Bhattathri, Niraj Viju Sulaja, Prabhav Parna, Minha Fatima, Vasuprada Chaganti, Avika Dua, and Shivani Mani. Our medalists are Autumn Wieczorek, Parth Patel, Shivani Mani, Raelynn Schmidt, Andrew Engelhardt, and Kushan Bonela. These students demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning their place. Every student who competed at the state level showcased their hard work and talent, representing our school with pride and determination. We are so happy for and proud of all these students! Congratulations! 

A huge shout out to the BPA advisors, Stacy Sajder Adams and Graham Brown for continuing to give our students these opportunities!

A big thank you to our chaperones, Mr. Juan Leal, Mrs. Julie Corkey, Mrs. Montrew Newman and Mrs. Jen Erickson!

When writing passes for students to visit the library, please...

  • Do not have students fill out any portion of the pass
  • Use your legible signature (no stamps or initials)
  • Only write passes for students in your academic class
  • Do not write passes for students in your ASP FS or GS classes
  • Only one name per pass
  • Do not write passes for students after the bell rings to visit the library during the current period
  • Remind students to be on time or they will be asked to return to class with a tardy

Cubs Tickets

Martha Foreman has 2 bleacher seats available for all night, weekends and holiday games. 

Price for each game is based on month, opponent, and day of the week. Game prices range from $25 to $90.
